Increments, where provided for, will be granted to officers who have served in their rank for two years (one increment) or five years (two increments) by 1 October 1989. Future incremental dates will be determined in accordance with CSR 133.

Pay will be converted to the new dollar value with effect from 1 October 1989 or the date of appointment,

of appointment, whichever is the later. Thereafter any changes caused by promotion, transfer or in-service appointment will be based on the revised pay scales.

Acting allowances under CSR 172

Acting allowances paid since 1 October 1989 under CSR 172 will be adjusted by the Treasury. This will be the subject of a separate accounting circular.
