Directorate Pay Scales,

Judicial Officers Salary Scale and

Salary Scales for Disciplined Services Directorate

(Note: Distribution of this Circular is Scale B. It should be read by all staff on the directorate pay scales, Judicial Officers Salary Scale and directorate equivalent staff in the disciplined services.)

With the approval of the Finance Committee of the Legislative Council, the Directorate Pay Scale, Directorate (Legal) Pay Scale, Judicial Officers Salary Scale, General Disciplined Services (Commander) Pay Scale, and the top points of the Police Pay Scale and the Independent Commission Against Corruption Salary Scale are revised with effect from 1 October 1989. Details of adjustments to pay scales as at 30 September 1989 are given in the attached appendices.

The pay of officers holding "personal salaries" will be adjusted in accordance with the increase in the most appropriate pay scales. Details will be sent to departments separately.

Conversion arrangements

The conversion arrangements for officers on the Directorate Pay Scale and the Directorate (Legal) Pay Scale will follow those set out in the Tenth Report of the Standing Committee on Directorate Salaries and Conditions of Service (the Tenth Report)
