REPLACEMENT OF RENT ALLOWANCE
I refer to the attached self explanatory letter from Mr Stockwell. Director of Operations, ICAP to the Personnel Services Department, ODA, dated 23 January, 1990, which was copied to HMIC.
You will note HMCIC's manuscript note to me dated 1 February, 1990. I would be most grateful for your advice on how the changes that will be brought about by PNB Circular 89/14 will affect the UK/RHKP Exchange Scheme. It may be helpful for you to know that at present there are current UK officers serving in Hong Kong and on 1 August, 1990 it is anticipated that other UK officers will be seconded to Hong Kong. I also attach for your information a copy of the contract currently in use for such secondees.
