The provision of additional student numbers at the level and pace approved by the Government is a bold initiative, which requires urgent action and co-operation on the part of all concerned. The time constraint and the substantial growth involved pose daunting challenges for both the institutions and the UPGC. However, the UPGC is confident that, given adequate resources, both the Committee and the institutions will be able to respond to the needs of Hong Kong.
