The Bill, as it stands, has been formulated without consultation with those who are affected and, therefore it fails to solve the cause of the problem in Hong Kong.
We feel that, at least, legislation in Hong Kong, should base upon the principles that are now in force in the United Kingdom.
We ask you, therefore, as our Member of Parliament, to raise this matter in the House at the earliest possible opportunity, and to secure for us some assurance of negotiation and right to treatment under the democratic process as the citizens of the United Kingdom enjoy.
