As regards consultation, a consultative document was
issued in July, when the Bill was published. The Legislative Council has also established an Ad Hoc Group to study the Bill. This Group will give careful
consideration to any points made by interested members of
the public.
As the Town Planning (Amendment) Bill is now
going through the legislative process in Hong Kong, I suggest that Mr Tang and your other constituents should address any comments they may have on the details of the
Bill to the Hong Kong authorities so that they may be
taken into account when the Bill is considered by the
Hong Kong legislature.
