they set sail for Hong Kong and were encountered by the Macao Marine Police on the next day. They then left Macao for Hong Kong after repairing their junk. Later, their junk sank near an unknown island and they stayed there to wait for rescue. At 0800 hrs on 11-5-90, 2 male adult escapees swam out with safe bouys for help. At 1500 hrs, all of them were rescued back to Macao by the Macao Marine Police.. At 1300 hrs on 12-5-90, they were given another motorized vessel and replenishment by the Macao Police and began to set sail for Hong Kong. On 12-5-90, at around 2200 hrs, they arrived at Cheung Sha Lower Beach, Lantao Island and were brought to Mui Wo Police Station for enquiries.

Chinese type wooden sailing junk installed with a 6 h.p. engine (Measurement : 5m x 2m) which sank in mid-journey.
