These 13 persons gathered at DONG NAI and left by train to HAI PHONG on 25-4-90 at 1300 hrs. From there they travelled by boat and arrived at HONG GAI on 30-4-90. One day later, they reached DAN HA and stayed in their relatives' home for 5 days. They then went to HA COI but were intercepted by Vietnamese policemen. They were not allowed to proceed further after impounding their gold. They were thus forced to return to DAN HA. They changed their plan and proceeded to HAI NINH and passed the Sino-Vietnamese border by hiring a fishing junk at a cost of $600,000 Dongs. After reaching DONG XING (東興 )
