This group of 32 fled HO CHI MINH CITY, S.VN separately by train in mid April, 1990. They reached HAI NINH via HA NOI and HONG GAI. Then, they approached the border check point and soon arrived at DONG XING (

) of China by boat. 旅社 They gathered again at DONG XING HUA QIAO LU SHEMAL where they encountered their courier named 'SAN'. The courier agreed to provide them with escort service and a sailing junk at a cost of 0.25 to 0.3 tael of gold per adult. They left DONG XING on 19-5-90 and were led to GUANGZHOU (1 on the following day. There, they took a ferry and subsequently reached JING AN (井岸

on 21-5-90. All of them were put on board the exodus junk a few hours later and set off immediately. They touched MACAO on 22-5-90 and stayed over- night due to engine problem. During their stay, the MACAO authority gave a helping hand in repairing the engine. They resumed their voyage on 23-5-90 and finally managed to arrive in Hong Kong on the same day evening.
