colleagues in the Lords here on 6.8.90 (Acceptances so far from Lady Eward-Biggs, Lords Bramall, Bethell, Derwent and Geddes. Pending from Lady Young). Lydia will call on Baroness Trumpington on the afternoon of 6 August. She has an engagement with the Chinese Embassy on 8.8.90 and a possible lunch with Lord Carrington on 20.8.90. Otherwise I am trying to retain this period as holidays for Lydia. (Lydia will be back in town for a few days at the end of August).
CHENG Hon-Kwan 15.8-18.8.90: Mr. Cheng will call on you at 11.00am on 16 August. I am offering him lunch immediately after that.

Paul CHENG 29.8.90-1.9.90; Probably private visit. Paul will be back in town from 25 to 31 October.
Dr. LEONG Chi-lung 30.8-2: I am arranging a lunch for Dr. Leong to meet medical people on 31.8.90.
Martin Barrow 1.9-13.9.90: Largely a private visit but I am arranging a lunch here for Martin Barrow on 10 September to meet people in the Trade & Industry field plus some MPs.
Dame Lydia Dunn (September): For the House of Fraser promotion. I have arranged for her to see Lord Belstead, the Leader of the Lords at 2.30pm on 19 September. Lady Dunn will be returning to London in October for a brief official visit -- I will be in touch in due course.
Please note that I shall be on leave from 21 August through to September 4 inclusive. Ross of course will deputise in my absence.
Other Members may surface from time to time.
