You will recall our earlier exchange of letters concerning the proposed inauguration of the CPU's Conference in Hong Kong next October by the Governor, Sir David Wilson. When the Governor accepted our President's invitation last December he had indicated that the acceptance was subject to his being present in Hong Kong at the time and that his travel plans for the year would only be known around this Spring.

I have written today to the Private Secretary to the Governor inquiring about the current position in that regard. I would much appreciate your assistance in ascertaining the position as early as possible: this would help us greatly in the publicity we wish to generate on this matter through our journal which is published next in May.

With all good wishes
