ANGLO-CANADIAN ECONOMIC TALKS

This is to confirm my invitation to you to visit London for bilateral talks on economic issues on 15 May, on your way If the idea to the OECD ECSS and the ensuing Sherpa meeting. still appeals to you and your timetable permits it, I suggest
You would be welcome a morning of talks, followed by lunch. to bring others with you, if you wished, whether from Ottawa or the High Commission here.
As for an agenda, I suggest we review the main topics for the OECD Ministerial and the Houston Summit, particularly:-

International trade and the Uruguay Round
The environment
I would be happy to talk about any European Community matters
I would also welcome an which are of interest to you. exchange on developments in the Pacific Rim, where I know that Canada is active. Possibly a word about China and Hong Kong would be timely. You may have other suggestions.
I hope this idea still finds favour with you and I will have the pleasure of seeing you here in London on 15 May.
