The peace treaty signed between Britain

and Japan did not state the invalidity

of the then Japanese currency and military

bills, so conversion issue is unrelated

to the treaty;

Before the said treaty was signed, we victims

in Hong Kong were not consulted, so the

treaty cannot be used as a pretext on this

issue; and

Hong Kong is still under British rule, so the

British Hong Kong government is to be responsible

for asking the Japanese government to take

up the issue.
