(3) These Instructions shall be published in the

Hong Kong Government Gazette and shall come into

operation upon the appointed day.

(4) In these Instructions "appointed day" has

the same meaning as in the Hong Kong Letters Patent

1990.

Amendment of

Clause XIIA

of principal

Instructions.

2.

Clause XIIA(1)(a) of the principal Instructions

is amended by deleting the date "1985" and

substituting the date "1991".

Amendment of

Clause XIII

of principal

Instructions.

3. Clause XIII of the principal Instructions is

amended by deleting the words "official or" wherever

they occur.

Amendment of

Clause XIV

of principal

Instructions.

4. Clause XIV of the principal Instructions is

amended by deleting the words "Member of the

Legislative Council, other than an ex officio Member

or an elected Member," in the first and second lines

and substituting the words "Appointed Member of the

Legislative Council".
