Mr. Leung Fuk-wah's case.
On the morning of 28 July, at 9:30, I received a telephone call from
Mr. Zhao Bao-yi as fllows:
(Peter Chiu)
My name is Zho Bao-yi. I am working in the Dow Chemical (China) Ltd. 1 Floor 19, Union Building. I and my boss manager Mr. Leung Fuk-wah both re Hong Kong British passport holders (BNO). I call the British Consulate ecause Mr. Leung was summoned by the Shanghai public security bureau this orning at 9:15, for inquiries about his involvement in Shanghai's recent iot. In the past several days, several of our Chinese local employees were ummoned by the FSB for interrogation because, so far as I know, they had onated some money and beverages and food to the demonstrating students in the Bund area, and at that time, they hanged a "Support!" slogan out of the office window on the Union Building. Today it is the first time that the anager Mr. Leung Fuk-wah was summoned by the FSB. I know Mr. Leung had :alked publicly of pre-demonstrating students' words. At that time, on his way to and from the office, he saw a lot of students making speeches along the HUai hai Road, so he bought a electrical loudspeaker to those students.
.......
That's what I know about Mr Leung's involvement. I believe it is a very
serious matter to summon up our manager at this time, that's why I want to report it to the British Consulate-general and I hope to keep in contact with British officials in case for any help.
My telephone number is 201104. I want to make it clear that our company is an American company but we are Hong Kong citizens.
