Dear Mr Chan,

Thank you for your letter of 20 November about a possible visit to Drugs Branch by Miss Shirley Yam.

We should be very willing to receive Miss Yam for a 2-3 day visit to the Branch from 8-10 January. What we have in mind is that she could spend, say, half a day in meeting members of the Branch involved in the development of policy, a day accompanying a member of the Inspectorate on control visits and a further day partly with our Licensing Section and partly with our Addicts Index.

If a programme on these lines would meet your requirements, perhaps you would let me know so that we can firm up details of a programme.
