expected to be heard. However, the Deputy Governor has conveyed to us a request from the Premier that the hearing of the case be put back to after the end of February because the Premier has now decided to hold the elections sometime during the period mid to end February and he would not wish this matter to become an election issue. We await formal confirmation from Bermuda of this. The indications from the Privy Council are that they would be willing to put back to end February the hearing of this case, but no decision will be taken until
16 January.
