The cost would come up
to one-million if the acoustic panels and doors were to be
replaced. Therefore, a sum of two-million is provided for
this item.
2.6.
Replacement of Existing Studio Equipment:
The budget for this item is estimated to be $8.5-m.
The equipment and arrangements proposed are similar to our
existing system but the large studio will be equipped with a
32-channel audio mixer and 24 track recording facility for
music, commercials and programme production.
2.7.
Extension of Studio Building:
The estimated sum for this item given by the archi-
tect is $3-m. It is proposed to incorporate two studios in
this extension and an additional sum of $500,000 is provided
for the acoustic treatment for these two studios. Therefore,
a sum of $3.5-m. is provided for this item.
2.8.
Studio Equipment for the New Studios:
The budget for this item is $2. 5-m. The facility
proposed is similar to those in the main studio building
but with a 14-channel audio mixer.
The budgets for items 2.6 and 2.8 have been prepared
basing mainly on analogue equipment, but review will be made
on this digital equipment when replacement takes place.
