ANNEX A
Set out below are the areas in which international
legal assistance is considered desirable, and the special safeguards considered necessary other than the grounds for
refusal listed in Annex B.
a) Identifying and locating persons
This requires no statutory authority.
It is useful in locating witnesses and
accused persons. A request for an
accused person to be located will
frequently be followed by a request for
extradition.
