VIETNAMESE REFUGEES: FOLLOW UP TO OD

In the light of our remit from the OD meeting on 8th June to look at ways of ensuring that the Vietnamese refugees are accommodated away from high stress areas I now attach a draft paper for OD Committee for your immediate consideration.

I am circulating this in view of contacts already established in the inter-Departmental group. I would be grateful, however, if you could ensure that it is seen at the appropriate level in your Department.

The paper was due for discussion at OD on Wednesday, but has now been put back to later in the month. May I therefore have your comments by close of play on Friday 6th October.
