The Secretary of State would be grateful for a note as soon as possible setting out the actions that are now in hand to meet OD (K)'s remit. The note should also cover in some detail the line that we should be taking at SC3 and also the line that the Secretary of State (and perhaps the Prime Minister) might take in meetings at CHOGM.

Mr Wall has minuted separately on the press handling of this issue.
