The Secretary of State and Mr Maude have agreed to receive this

delegation for short calls on, respectively, 20 and 22 November.

The delegation have also requested a call on the Home

Secretary. The delegation leader and two members of the delegation

have also requested a call on Lord Trefgarne.

Mr Waddington's and Lord Trefgarne's Private Offices have

requested Private Secretary letters from us recommending the calls.

On that basis they would be prepared to set them up. I submit self explanatory drafts for this purpose.
