Dear Glan,
I enclose a brief we have prepared as a speaking note for the
Anglo-Japanese bilateral meeting on financial matters which is to
be held on 16 November in Tokyo. The UK side will be led by
Nigel Wicks and Andrew Crockett will be attending from the Bank.
It is not intended that the subject of Hong Kong will be raised as one of the main issues, but it is listed on the agenda under any
other business.
