I did not know that Lord Kindersley had retired. However, I am sure that economic cooperations between United Kingdom and Taiwan are flourishing under the new leadership of Mr. Peter Godwin.

It is very kind of you to meet me on the absense of Mr. Godwin. At least I could bring you most current development in Taiwan. In the mean time, I wonder if you could help me. About one week ago I addressed (not faxed) a letter to Sir Alan Walters (copy attached). Because of the speed of mail, I am not sure if any response could reach me in time, Could you kindly help to set up an appointment with him for me? This could be important.
