selected in accordance with the method described above.

During the term of the third Chief Executive, the Legislative Council shall formulate the specific method to decide, by holding a referendum among the electorate of the

by universal suffrage after nominations have been made by a
broadly representative nomination committee through
democratic procedures. The result of the referendum shall
be reported to the Standing Committee of the NPC for the
