The capital cost of expanding HK BC is estimated be $212 million at mid-1988 prices. The annual recurrent costs of the additional 2,000 fte places at mid-1988 prices is estimated at $127 million.

III of HKUST is estimated to be about $906 million at mid-1988 prices. The estimated initial annual recurrent cost of the proposed additional 3,100 fte places in 1997-2000 is estimated to be in the order of $450 million.
