An Ordinance to amend the Town Planning Ordinance.

Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent
of the Legislative Council thereof.
1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Town Planning (Amendment) Short title. Ordinance 1988.
2. Section 4 of the principal Ordinance is amended—
(a) in subsection (1)—
(i) in paragraph (e) by deleting the comma and substituting a semicolon; and
(ii) by inserting after paragraph (e) the following-
"(f) comprehensive development areas,"; and
(b) in subsection (2) by deleting "interfering with its plans for the
lay-out of any area" and substituting the following-
"that interferes with the lay-out of an area shown on a draft
or approved plan or on a master lay-out plan approved under section 4A".

section 4.

3. The principal Ordinance is amended by adding after section 4 the Addition of following-
areas.
"Comprehensive 4A. (1) Without restricting what the Board may, under development
sections 3 and 4, show or make provision for in a plan, the Board may, by a note on the plan, in respect of a comprehen- sive development area, prohibit the undertaking of any build- ing works, as defined in the Buildings Ordinance, except―
