GLENARTHUR BY REPRESENTATIVES OF REFUGEE ORGANISATIONS
Problem
1.
has
Dr Martin Barber, Director of the British Refugee Council, written to me on behalf of three national organisations representing refugees from Vietnam in this country, requesting an early meeting with either the Secretary of State or Lord Glenarthur for
representatives of the three organisations.
Recommendation
2. I recommend that Lord Glenarthur agree to meet the
representatives. If he is content I will write to Dr Barber
suggesting that he contact you to find a date.
Argument
3. The three national organisations concerned are the Vietnam
Refugee National Council, the National Indo-China Association and
the National Federation of Vietnam Refugee Chinese Associations. have no reason to doubt the integrity of any these organisations; the Vietnam Refugee National Council and the National Indo-China
Association had a hand in drawing up the thoughtful if unrealistic
