The Prime Minister has asked me to thank you for your

Letter of 9 September concerning the visit to Hong Kong

by a representative of the Indo China Resource Action

Centre (IRAC).

As you may have heard, Ms Diller, the IRAC representative

concerned, has now completed her visit to Hong Kong.

Under the auspices of the US Consulate-General in Hong

Kong Ms Diller visited all the detention centres for

Vietnamese boat people as well as the San Yick and Sham

Shui Po closed centres for Vietnamese refugees.
