17. Upon notification of determination of status, asylum seekers will be

moved to one of two designated sections of camp or, ideally, two separate

Camps: the resettlement area for those determined to be refugees, and the

those fort

repatriation area for found not to be refugees.

Transfer should be carried

out within 72 hours of notification of determination of status. Those filing

appeals will await the decision of the advisory panel in the area designated

for those determined not to be refugees. In the event of a reversal of the

original determination, the refugees will be promptly transferred to the

resettlement area.

IV. Those determined

to be refugee: Resettlement

18.

Resettlement Program for Newly Screened-in Refugees.

This plan will

accommodate all those who arrive after the cut-off date and are classified as

bona fide refugees.

19. Within one week of transfer to the resettlement area, the newly

screened-in refugees shall receive an orientation briefing from a UNHCR

representative that explains the third country resettlement program, the

length of time current arrivals may be expected to spend in camp awaiting

resettlement, and the necessity of adhering to the rules and regulations of

the camp.

Wherever possible, a pledge shall be sought from the resettlement

countries to place all newly screened-in refugees within 180 days. Actual

departure, however, may take several months longer. It shall be the

responsibility of UNHCR, with the full support of all the resettlement

countries, ont ablished as a pool, *o coordinate #fforts
