Saturday, March 5 - A number of papers quoted convenor of the Legco ad hoc group on the Daya Bay project Wong Fo-yan as saying that China had decided to set up a consultative body on the Daya Bay plant and that it would comprise HK people.

Mr Wong said that the consultative body would be set up in May. He believed that the body would be responsible to the Chinese Nuclear Industry Ministry.

Monday, March 7 - The Daya Pay nuclear power plant project would be delayed for completion because of construction problems, the HK Economic Journal reported, quoting sources.

According to the paper, the date for generating electricity from the plant would be postponed from mid-1992 to October 1993. It said that apart from the reactor base raft incident last September, there had been other technical problems that led to the delay,
