Dr. Marvin H. Dickerson,

U.S.A.

Dear Or. Dickepon,

I have recently received from Dr. M.C. Wong your "friendly Computer Bug". Please accept my sincere thanks for this cute and lovely present which reminded me of the extremely useful visit made by yourself and Dr. Boeri.

As promised, I enclose for your information a summary of media reports and commentaries on the brief press session following your meeting with the LegCo Ad Hoc Group. Enclosed please also find for your record a copy of the programme of the visit which incorporates the names of officials and unofficials that you met during your stay in Hong Kong.

As you will recall, during the meeting

on 5 July, you met the departments involved in the preparation of the Daya Bay Contingency Plan. During this meeting, various contingency planning related issues were briefly discussed. On some of these

points, such as sheltering, water treatment and fire-fighting, etc., you agreed to furnish us with further information. Dr. Wong has now received from you a booklet on fire-fighting equipment and we look forward to receiving from you other information that will facilitate our present task of formulating the detailed Daya Bay Contingency Plan. Incidentally, if you have completed your visit report, I should be grateful to know if we could have a copy for internal reference.

Please accept our sincere thanks for all your help and give Mrs. Dickerson our best regards.

Yours sincerely,

Dunilla
