We are also in direct contact with the Vietnamese
Government over the problem. I have to tell the
House that they refuse to take back those who have
left Vietnam, except on a very limited case by
case basis. It will take patient diplomatic
efforts if we are to make headway. But I can
assure the House that we shall pursue our efforts.
