Dear S.Y..
As always, it was the greatest pleasure for Elspeth and myself to see you again in Hong Kong earlier this week. You
looked, if I may say so, totally unchanged: I wish I knew your secret! You chaired the meeting with Omelco with your customary skill and vigour. I certainly derived much benefit
from it, and I only hope that Omelco members feel the same.
We were particularly grateful to you for hosting such
a splendid dinner, and giving us another opportunity to benefit from Ozzie Cheung's legacy. As the last time on which we shall have the privilege of attending such a dinner hosted
by you, I found it a moving occasion. I should like to
wish you, on behalf of Elspeth and myself, all the very best following your retirement from ExCo.
With warmest thanks and bist wishes
GEOFFREY HOWE
