Timing of the Speech

5. The latest indications from New York are that the Yemenis will agree to change places with us on the morning of 7 June. The Brazilian President will speak first. The Secretary of State can expect to speak at around 11.15.

6. Given Mr Meyer's views (Flag A), I have not suggested any formal sessions with the press. If circumstances should require it, smething could be arranged over breakfast on 7 June.

7. I attach a draft programme (Flag B). If the Secretary of State agrees we shall ask UKMis New York to confirm these arrangements.
