1 JUNE: ADMINISTRATIVE ARRANGEMENTS

ACCOMMODATION

(a) LIVING ACCOMMODATION:

(i) Manila

-

The Ambassador will be happy to accommodate the Secretary of State and Lady Howe, Principal Private Secretary, Detective and one other. I would be grateful to know if this should be the Private Secretary or an Adviser. Other members of the party will be accommodated at the nearby Intercontinental Hotel with a suite for the Head of News Department.

(ii) Hong Kong - The Governor will be happy to accommodate seven members of the party and has suggested these should be:

Secretary of State and Lady Howe

2 Private Secretaries (or one Private Secretary and one Personal Assistant)

2 Senior Officials

1 Detective

I would be grateful for confirmation that both Private Secretaries should be accommodated at Government House. Other members of the party will be accommodated at the Furama Hotel, near to Government House, with a suite for the Head of News Department.

(b) WORKING ACCOMMODATION:

Residence.

(ii) Hong Kong - A room will be provided at Government House for use as a Private Office.
