14. MR. POON CHI-FAI asked:

question with regard to the policy of stipulating

a minimum monthly salary for foreign

domestic helpers, such as Filipino

maids, will Government inform this

Council :

(a) the rationale for adopting such a

policy;

(b) the criteria used to determine the

amount of minimum monthly salary;

and
