THE PUBLIC ORDER (AMENDMENT) ORDINANCE 1987

(No. 16 of 1987)

This Ordinance amends the Public Order

Ordinance for the purposes of -

(a)

(b)

adding a provision relating to the publication of false news and based upon the repealed section 6 of the Control of Publications Consolidation Ordinance (now renamed the Registration of Local Newspapers Ordinance); and

replacing a provision relating to bomb hoaxes.

2.

Before the Acting Governor assented to the Bill in the name and on behalf of Her Majesty, the Acting Attorney General advised that he could properly do so.
