Amendment of section 4C.

Section 4C of the principal Ordinance is amended---

(a) by deleting subsection (1) and substituting the following--

"(1) Not less than 60 per cent of the proceeds of a lottery shall be allocated in prizes in that or any other lottery as the Board may determine."; and

(b) by inserting after subsection (1) the following-

Amendment of section 6.

Effect of sections 2, 3 and 4.

"(IA) The percentage of the proceeds specified in subsection (1) may be amended by resolution of theLegislative Council.”.

Section 6 of the principal Ordinance is amended-

(a) in subsection (1)—–

(i) in paragraph (a), by deleting “7Į" and substituting the following-

"8.5"; and

(ii) in paragraph (b), by deleting "11" and substituting the following-

“13.5";

(b) in subsection (1A), by deleting "25" and substituting the following—

"27"; and

(c) in subsection (2), by deleting "25" and substituting the following--

5.

"27".

Sections 2, 3 and 4 shall have effect in respect of every bet made, cash-sweep ticket sold, cash-sweep chance allocated and lottery held on or after 1 April 1983.
