(ii) by deleting "entitled to practise dentistry in Hong Kong. and substituting the following-

(a) entitled to practise dentistry in Hong Kong; or
(b) in the case of a person deemed to be a registered dentist under section 30(3)(a), entitled to practise dentistry for the purpose of teaching or performing hospital work in the Faculty of Dentistry of the University of Hong Kong."; and
(c) by deleting subsection (8) and substituting the following—
"(8) This section applies to----

(a) any person whose name appears on the register; and
(b) any person deemed to be a registered dentist by virtue of
section 30(3)(a).”.
Section 11B of the principal Ordinance is amended-
(a) in subsection (1) by deleting "registered dentist contravenes sub-
section (1) of section 11A” and substituting the following--
"person to whom section 11A applies contravenes subsec- tion (1) of that section";
(b) in subsection (2) by deleting "registered dentist" and substituting
the following---
"person"; and
(c) by deleting subsection (3) and substituting the following
"(3) On recovery of a prescribed fee under this section the Secretary shall, if the name of the person concerned appears on the register or if he is deemed to be a registered dentist under section 30(3)(a), issue to him an appropriate practising certificate.".
6. Section 25 of the principal Ordinance is amended by deleting "not registered as a dentist under this Ordinance" and substituting the following-
"who is neither a registered dentist nor deemed to be one under this Ordinance and".
7. Section 26 of the principal Ordinance is amended by deleting "or (ba)", in the two places where it occurs, and substituting in each case the following-

Section 30 of the principal Ordinance is amended-
(a) in subsection (1)-
(i) by deleting "or on the full-time teaching staff of the Faculty of Dentistry of the University of Hong Kong"; and

(ii) by deleting "provisions of sections 10 and 14, and shall be exempt from payment of fees in accordance with section 9" and substituting the following-
"payment of fees under section 9(2), and from section 10(3) and (5) and section 14";
(b) in subsection (2)—
(i) by deleting everything that occurs after "registered" and substituting the following—
"dentists for the purpose of section 3, and sections 9, 10 and 14 shall not apply to such dentists unless they practise dentistry privately in Hong Kong."; and
(c) by inserting, after subsection (2), the following—
9.
"(3) All persons on the full-time teaching staff of the Faculty of Dentistry of the University of Hong Kong-
(a) shall, while in the discharge of their teaching duties or while performing hospital work in the Faculty of Dentistry, be deemed to be registered dentists for the purpose of section 3; and
(b) shall be exempt from the payment of fees under section 9(2), and from section 10(3) and (5) and section 14, unless they practise dentistry privately within Hong Kong.”.
Section 31(2) of the principal Ordinance is amended by inserting, Amendment of after "a registered dentist", the following-
"or a person deemed to be a registered dentist".

Section 2(1) is amended by deleting the definition of (Cap. 134.) "registered dentist" and substituting the following-

Antibiotics Ordinance
""registered dentist" means-
(a) a dentist registered under the Dentists
Registration Ordinance by reason of his holding the qualifications specified
in section 8(1)(a), (b), (ba) or (c) of that Ordinance; or
(b) a person deemed to be a registered dentist under the Dentists Registra- tion Ordinance;".
Section 2 is amended in the definition of "registered (Cap. 137.) dentist" by inserting, after "dentists register", the following
"and a person deemed to be a registered dentist”.
