As the site close to the Western Reclamation area was considered not suitable for the establishment of a permanent heliport. The Buildings and Lands Department has proposed to include the provision of an international heliport as an item in the Green Island Reclamation Consultancy Study.

2. SEK KONG AIRFIELD
The study on the possibility of Sek Kong Airfield being used as a relief airport to Kai Tak was held in abeyance, pending results of the Kai Tak Capacity Consultancy Study scheduled to commence in October.
