Friday, October 16 The Guangdong Nulesar Power Joint Ventura Company had agreed that no concrete would be poured in the Taiz 1 raft until an aesassment was made on the proposed technical solution, some papare reported, quazing the managing director of BRIC, Sir Jack Ceter.

Many papers said that work on the foundation raŝt in question would not resure until a report on the arrors and remdial measures ready.

According to Tu Kung Pac, Vir Jack said that yesterday's toerá peeting did not discuss « 8uggestion to commission independers experts to study the incident.

Sir Jack was quoted by Sing Tao Jih Pau as saying that the Secretary for concals Services, Anson Chan, did not ratae any queries at yesterday'a maating as to why the HK Goverument was not informed of the incident until September 26.

He said that Mrs Chan and the Secretery for Monetary Affairs, who were both directors of the board, saemed to be satisfied with the meeting.
