Customs Cooperation Council Far East, South and South East Asia, Australasia and the Pacific Islands Region

Thank you for your letter of 4 March. I understand that Nicky Lo has already replied to you. Although I have not yet seen a copy of his reply, we discussed it. In the interests of speed, I am replying now.

I gather that Nicky has advised that you should attend the Regional Conference as "UK (Hong Kong)". I take the same view. I understand that this has been the previous practice for other regional meetings (admittedly for more technical subjects). As you will appreciate, we will not have formalised Hong Kong's position in the CCC by the time of the meeting.
