DI: This is the review team mentioned here set up by
the Director of Civil Aviation. I believe there are members of the
Civil Aviation Department, there are Finance Branch certainly. They're either members or observers. We don't get the minutes of
the Committee so we're not sure. There's certainly a representative
of the Director of Audit on the Committee. We give evidence before
this Committee but we're not a member.

MR HO: Mr Chairman, I think even with the Director's
promise that he's going to make some suggestions to the Review Board,
I think our duty is to look at the Audit Report and try to satisfy
ourselves whether what has been said in the Audit Report has been
considered and whether that has been done and so on. Therefore,
perhaps I will change the subject slightly. Besides the corruption
or whatever, I would like to concentrate on workload.
It seems to
27 the responsibility to do that extra job, which in our mind is very small, can you accept that it is a very small part of the job?

DI: It is certainly a small part of the overall job. I
do not accept for one moment the estimate given in the Audit Report the time is only one second per passenger. I think this is not a practical approach to the problem and it would taker longer than this.
And so we would need slightly more resources.
