Ineligibility

Any new occupation of premises; subdivision of existing premises; construction of new buildings or extensions; starting of new businesses after 14 January 1987 shall not attract any compensation. If you bought premises after 14 January 1987 you will be ineligible for compensation greater than the fair market value (FMV).

Any person found to be ineligible for rehousing or compensation may appeal to the Appeals Tribunal formed under the Housing Authority Special Committee on Clearance of Kowloon Walled City. The Ap- peals Tribunal will arrange hearing of appeals and their decisions will be accepted by Government.
