ELIGIBILITY
Rehousing

You must be a legal resident of Hong Kong (an I.D. card holder) and have been genuinely living in the Walled City on and since the pre- clearance survey on 14 January 1987.
* You must have been living in Hong Kong for seven years by 31 March
1990.

You must not have alternative accommodation, own any domestic property elsewhere (including HOS or PSPS accommodation) or hold a tenancy in any public rental estate, cottage area or temporary hous- ing area.
To qualify for public rental housing or an HOS flat there must be at least two persons in your family. Singletons may be granted a public rental flat subject to availability. Also, singletons and doubletons are eligible for the Singleton and Doubleton Allowances respectively in lieu of rehousing in public rental housing.
If you fail to meet the above criteria you will only be offered temporary housing.
Property Ownership
* You must have submitted your claim to property ownership on or
before 21 November 1987.

Your claim must be verified to the satisfaction of the Registrar General (Land Officer).
You must make a Statutory Declaration confirming your ownership.
