BACKGROUND

Lord Glenarthur is familiar with current Hong Kong issues following his visit to the territory from 16-19 September.

2. The Survey Office is now assessing opionions on the Green Paper submitted to it in the course of the review and is due to complete and publish its report by 31 October.

The last meeting of the JLG (the seventh) was in London from 7.10 July The next will be in Peking from 10 13 November.
