(a) Passenger Embarkation Fees

AA/CS reported that, after the last meeting had decided not to proceed with introducing fees, D of M

had raised the question of a charge at the new China Ferry Terminal. The operators had already been told that a fee would be imposed on the basis of the Macau

precedent. Legislative means were already available

to allow the introduction of the fee. Departments and

branches had been consulted, and no objections had

been raised. The meeting agreed that a fee at the new

China Ferry Terminal should be imposed, and that

S for T should coordinate.

(b) Lok Ma Chau Bridge (Paper 7/87)
