This letter dated 10.9.86 is addressed to the Secretary for Transport and copied to D.O./Yuen Long, D.L.0./Yuen Long, the
Rural Committee and Mr CHOU Ping-nam, District Board member of
Yuen Long from Mr MAN Lung-sou about his objection to the acquisition
of land due to the proposed New Territories Circular Road project. The correspondence address given is: 98, Pok Wai Tsuen, San Tin, Yuen Long (Tel. No.: 0-711115).
Man says his land on Lot Nos. 3829, 3832, 3835 & 3298 in
D.D. 104, Yuen Long will be seriously affected by the proposed New
Territories Circular Road project stage 3. Therefore, he objects to the proposed project unless Government can arrive at a fair
solution. Man has the following requests to make :

Man's dried beancurd skin manufactory under short term tenancy
(Ref. LNT 23/YAT/72) is located on a site adjacent to the 300 odd sq. ft. area (part of Lot No. 3829 in D.D.
104) to be resumed by Government. In view of the facts
that his factory will be gravely affected and polluted
if stage 3 of the project is executed and that the whole
factory area will soon be acquired for execution of stage 4 of the project, he prefers and requests Government
to resume the whole factory area now instead of letting
the factory to be polluted by the execution of stage 3
works, and that the factory license be retained pending
the relocation of another factory site.
Lot Nos. 3832 & 3835 in D.D. 104 jointly owned by the
writer and MAN Kam-hing will also be affected by stage 3 of the project. The previous dried beancurd skin manufactory (under short term tenancy Ref. LNT 23/YAT/72)
has ceased operation since 1981 when Man was informed
