Assessment of Objections

Nine

follows :

objections remain unresolved. These are as

(a) Objector No. 1 requested that Government should avoid resuming his restaurant and that instead adjacent agricultural land should be resumed for the roadworks. Ŏther than bringing an end to the operation of the restaurant in which he invested heavily, the livelihood of over ten employees their dependents would also be affected.

(b) Objector No. 2 states that the proposed resumption of land would take away his farm land and his family's residence. He is also worried about his wife's health if the family has to move out of the premises.

(c) Objector No. 3: On behalf of the objector, the solicitors state that the proposed resumption would bring his client's business as a building materials supplier to an end, thus affecting his livelihood and that of his five employees. objector has suggested two alternatives :

(i) Government should resume the agricultural land situated on the other side of Castle Peak Road; or

(ii)

Government should reduce the area of resumption to avoid affecting lot no. 3281 Sec. A.R.P., where the house was situated.
